Successful Study Strategies
By Rara - Wednesday, September 10, 2014
School is starting soon, thus I'm starting to prepare myself for the class, learning, behavior, and most of all, being social! Being anti-social for months makes me feel quite anxious but, I guess it won't stay long so I'm not worried. I love thrill, so I love challenging myself to do what I think is impossible.
I'm sorry to disappoint you but I won't write anything about the title. Because I'm not eligible. T.T So this is a sharing for you and me. Details are here.
Four active processes will be used in the steps of any active study pattern and any study time that does not involve one or more of these steps is almost certainly passive and inefficient!
1. Identifying the important information – answering the eternal question of “what’s important here?”
2. Organizing the information – start with the “big picture” to create a framework that facilitates memorization and access appropriate for differential diagnosis.
3. Memorizing the information – this requires frequent review to keep it available for use!
4. Applying the information to more complex situations – practice questions, quiz questions, clinical applications, etc.
I always remind myself to apply these steps but there are times we just don't feel like to do it.. Simply because of petty reason, well I'm only humaannnnn. Nonetheless, I can guarantee it works! If any of you couldn't really find the best way to study, but still working for it, please do!
These are basics, if you want to success more than just in dunya, you gotta add up some effort like respect, pray, insya Allah, He will ease our way.
Happy schooling everyone!
P/S. Mom still says we're schooling though Abang has graduated. Oh Mom! Since we're forever a baby, why won't you spoil us anymore? Kekekeke
