Arrival at King Abdulaziz Airport |
Our day start as early as 4 in the morning, we went to Masjid Nabawi. I was really eager to hear my first azan in Madinah, I waited for it and yessss got it recorded! Subhanallah.
Brief history about Masjid Nabawi :
Nabawi = Nabi (refers to propher Muhammad SAW). The mimbar he used to stand at is located here, nearby his house. His actual house isn't there anymore but according to one hadith,
"What is between my house and my mimbar is one of the meadows of the Garden, and my mimbar is on my watering-place (al-Hawd)."The area between is now called "Raudhah" and you may grab the opportunity to pray over there!

Good morning from Madinah! :) |
Beneath the green kubah is where our Prophet Muhammad SAW's maqam is located. :') I heard that we used to be allowed to visit inside, but it's prohibited now BUT, you can still see from ar-Raudhah, the outside of Rasulullah's maqam, Sayyidina Abu Bakr's, and Sayyidina Umar al-Khattab's.
Masya Allah.. I can still feel goosebumps just reminiscing the memory of being there..
(This is my experience of performing Umrah during winter from 24th December 2013 - 5th January 2014. You can find other posts by going to the posts labelled MakkahMadinah which can be found at the right side of my blog. Thank you.)

MashaAllah so lucky, I hope one day later I got a chance to go there as well.
ReplyDeleteMasya Allah, such a beautiful place. It must feel different to hear azan in Madinah. How I miss to hear live Azan :(
ReplyDeleteHope I'll get a chance to go there.
May Allah take you and your family to Makkah & Madinah soon! I admit there might be a more "modern" structure in other places, but the feeling you get over there is irreplaceable! Can almost forget everything, may be cause we're focused on only one thing, ibadah. :') anyway you know you can watch makkah/madinah live on some online channel! I'm so excited to watch them, in Malaysia it's usually before maghrib at ch al hijrah.. Hihihi
