These are some of the ingredients that I could think of ; they're not necessary haram because some of them can be derived from plants or animals. When it's from animals, it includes any animals so unless you're really sure it's from halal source, even if it's from cow, the cow need to be slaughtered Islamically, you may consume.
I've heard some people say, "what's wrong with using skin care, shampoo etc, which contains unsure ingredients? Because we're not eating it,". As far as I understand, this statement only applicable on alcohol. Here's a simple analogy : If your shampoo has ingredient derived from pork, what do you have to do?
Feel free to complete the list or rectify, or anything you may want to do! Spread the words, yes you may copy and paste it because this is our duty as a khalifah on this Earth! :) As the phrase goes, you are what you eat, I strongly believe we need to be particular on what's going to be part of our FLESSHHH..
Besides that, I also would like everyone to simple ask the manufacturer, by calling etc. Don't be afraid. If you can't explain about Halal and Haram, just tell them you're a vegetarian. Hee
Please do some research as well cause I'm only going to list out in this post.

Ahhh.. It's so hard to bring out those ingredients from my brain! Hahaha. With some research as well, these are the ingredients that are commonly used.. I usually can can point out from the ingredients I read, but to write like this is quite challenging, what's more it's been years since I've moved to Islamic country, where we simple can find a Halal certificate! Hehehe

With smartphones in everyone's hand, im sure it's not that hard to find information about the ingredients even if they using difficult chemical names xD
ReplyDeleteMay took awhile but worth it inshaaAllah. Where did you move to by the way?
Ikr! My main purpose is actually to make people realize how important is this. :( When one person bring up few cookies from Japan for example, which we rarely eat about its' halal status, everybody go crazy! Crazy about this one party said it's halal when they don't have the right to say so, that party said it's haram, bla bla bla. But then we chose to ignore things we use daily. Pathetic right. Hmm
DeleteI'm currently staying nearby Management and Science University which I go to. :)
