I've been attending Talaqi al-Quran class at Masjid Negeri Shah Alam since early this year. Yesterday we had Syafawi (oral) exam. It's like viva, with only you and the examiner. The flow is as below :

1. A student enter the classroom
2. Pick one of the 6 sets available
3. In the set we've chosen, there are verses from Al-Baqarah & Ali 'Imran
4. Answer 3 tajwid questions from the set

The verses I picked wasn't complicated, though there was one typo. I think! The examiner said I was right though. I thought the verses are photo copied from Quran, apparently it is a retype! Oh my God. The khat was a bit different than we usually read, so, it was a bit surprising. :D

For the tajwid part, I was asked what are the characters of Idgham, makhraj of To', and characters of Shofir. Alhamdulillah I hope I answered it right. Now I gotta get ready for written examination!
