Where are All the Developed-Minded People We See on Facebook?

By Rara - Tuesday, March 04, 2014

I've been seeing youngsters nowadays discuss about what Malaysia can imitate from other developed countries in order to be one of the countries.

For example, the cleanliness, the punctuality of public transports, the discipline, and I saw many youngsters nowadays come out with their own suggestions to achieve it.

Only suggestions. suggestion which I think just another synonym for who to blame.

During debate, everyone can sort of give out example on how advanced other countries are, and that our country should be like that.

Suggestions which require others to do it, for instance,

1. Menteri patut titik beratkan ketepatan masa pengangkutan awam.
2. Tingkatkan efisien pekerja kebersihan
3. Pulihkan sebarang vendalisma
4. Pemimpin yang bla bla bla
5. Polis yang bla bla bla
6. Tingkatkan peluang pekerjaan bagi pemuda

Biarkan ia dalam Bahasa Melayu, supaya kau tahu apa yang kau kata. (Fuyoohhh)

suggestion is nothing without a khalifah to move and start it.

If a train is punctual, is it the train or the driver who is punctual?
If a road is dirty, is it because the lazy cleaner or we're the one who's messing the public like we own the place?
How come is it okay to write a little ♥ shape on school's desk but a large paint on building is wrong? Yeah just the size you clever thing!! -_-

Probably our main problem is because we like to wait for things to happen.

"Oh, I'm just gonna throw away this small candy's rubbish, it's nothing anyway,"
"It's okayyy the cleaner is there to clean it,"
"Just a little late to class won't harm anyone, we paid to attend this class,"

One of the reason why somehow most of us have developed a mind to think this way is because of our Bahasa Melayu essay questions. I've been noticing this since school, remember what kind of essay we used to write?

Who is responsible for this problem?

Then we will list out the parties, using the technique DiKeMaSeN+A (Diri, Keluarga, Masyarakat, Sekolah, Negara, Antarabangsa)

and explain why they are responsible for that.

I totally disagreed with this kind of essay. Because you know what, none of us will really write using the Diri (yourself), what you can do.

We were trained to find who's the wrong one, and tell them what they should do.

Only on the conclusion, we will write, "Kesimpulannya, semua pihak hendaklah bekerjasama menangani masalah ini,".

It's not a conclusion!! It should be the main points! On how, what we can do. Not to make the "who was wrong all these time" be the main points. :/

It is not wrong to be able to think who is wrong, but it's not the priority. What can a 14 y/o boy can do, by knowing that government is wrong, parents is wrong, bla bla bla. Are they going to change the government? Are they going to teach their kids properly now that they know parents have been doing things wrong? No, right?

If no one ever want to start, then I can bet, nothing will change no matter how long you wait! Just a small change is enough, Allah knows our capability, the least we can do is :

1. Arrange shoes properly in the place (racks, etc) at Surau
2. Erase/Stop any little drawing on table
3. Carry any of your litter, even if it's small
4. Be discipline during college ; avoid procrastination
5. Support in recycling, collect any shampoos container, used paper, surely will decrease garbage!
6. Be tolerate when driving
7. OBEY RULES. Only one person in a family means only one. No tasting fruits means no!! No photography means NO PHOTOGRAPHY. Not even phone's cameras!! (It's silly some adult said to me we only can't photography using camera, but it is okay with phone, then POST IT IN FACEBOOK ya Allah I'm so pissed off!). No phone, and much more no we are sooooo difficult to obey because we think it's too simple so it is okay to disobey.
8. Line up, even if it's just to sign your attendance, in a surau.

If you ask me, if so, then am I responsible for all the Malaysian? My answer is yes. Not just Malaysian, but the whole human living on this Earth. But don't worry, as I've mentioned earlier, I believe Allah knows our capability and He will judge based on that.

Have you done the least you could do?

It's like this laptop you own. No matter what type of advanced laptop you own, Macbook, if you do not even know how to write H20, what's the point of it? Not to mention excel, and all these stuffs. It's all back to us. It still depends on us, because who are the people behind the "good things you wish for"?

It's us! Please blame yourself.
