My family and I once visited a zoo/farm in overseas, without realizing that we went into an area where they let these miniature pigs run around everywhere. LOL. They are really friendly, went cuddle towards any legs they see like cats, which was quite a bothersome to us, Muslim. :D But we didn't kick or harm them, Ayah just sort of chase them way, while we stood on some small bench. Hahaha..
As a Muslim, we have to cleanse (in a special way) any parts of us touching a pig skin, otherwise our prayer isn't valid. That's why it's sort of bothersome. And I think it has proven that without special cleansing, some harmful dirt will leave on us, human, what's more eating it? No we don't hate them or anything, they're just another Allah's creature on Earth that we have to respect, any of His creature must have reason behind it.
Anyway, there's a TV series in TV Al-Hijrah on 7.30 PM, talking about their experience in Japan. Today's story was about their visit to farm. And yes, as far as I know, there are so many farms that children can visit over there! The children together with their mother get to milk the cow (am I saying it right? LOL), watch how dogs chase all the farm animals, and other activities in farm.
When we're being exposed to experience like this, we will grow up into someone who cares about animal, see how the work is done, thus making us more appreciative towards any rezeki. Not to forget, Rasulullah was a shepherd during His P.B.U.H childhood.
